Everything you need for one complete light point — bulb, cap and base, ready to install.

This E14 cabochon full light set contains all three components needed to create one finished, functional light point on a light-up letter, fairground display, illuminated sign, or amusement ride. Rather than sourcing a bulb, a cap, and a base separately, this set gives you the complete assembly in a single purchase — matched, tested, and ready to install.

Each set includes one E14 LED bulb, one 60mm polycarbonate cap, and one E14 conic base. Together they form the classic fairground bulb profile: the bold, domed light point used across wedding marquee letters, fairground rides, carnival attractions, and illuminated event signage across the UK.

These are the exact components used in our own professional letter fleet, deployed at weddings, corporate events, and venue installations. We know how they perform under repeated use because we use them ourselves.

Better value than buying separately — everything matched and ready to go.

What's included in each set:

  • 1 × E14 LED bulb (65V–240V)
  • 1 × 60mm polycarbonate cabochon cap (clear)
  • 1 × E14 conic cabochon base
  • Compatible with standard E14 fairground lampholders and letter wiring

Specifications:

  • Fitting: E14 (small Edison screw, 14mm thread diameter)
  • Cap diameter: 60mm
  • Assembly height: 63mm (cap and base assembled)
  • Bulb voltage: 65V–240V
  • Bulb type: LED
  • Material: Polycarbonate cap and base, LED bulb
  • Colour: Clear cap — coloured cap versions available separately
  • Sold as: 1 complete set (bulb + cap + base)

Compatible with 65V–240V — works with virtually every fairground and ride voltage system in the UK.

What it's used for: Light-up letter and number builds for weddings, parties, corporate events and venue installations; fairground-style marquee signage and illuminated shopfronts; amusement park rides and fairground attractions — waltzers, carousels, ghost trains, dodgem arenas, big wheels, ride canopy borders; travelling fair equipment repairs; film, TV and theatre set dressing; retail display and exhibition lighting. This set is the fastest way to get from zero to a working light point — ideal for new builds, repairs, and restocking existing installations.

No minimum order. Trade quantities available. Order a single set or 500. For large trade orders, contact us directly for a bulk price. We regularly supply event hire companies, sign makers, amusement park operators, ride maintenance engineers, prop makers and production designers across the UK.

Compatibility note: This set includes a wide voltage range E14 LED bulb compatible with 65V–240V, making it suitable for both modern installations and traditional 240V AC fairground and amusement ride setups — with no need to source a separate bulb for different systems. This also covers the 60V systems common on older fairground rides still in active use. The cap and base components are voltage-neutral and compatible across all systems. If you're unsure what voltage your installation runs on, check your power supply or contact us before ordering.

FAQs

Are these suitable for funfair and travelling fairground equipment?

Yes. Our E14 bases are built for the robust, repeat-use demands of the events and fairground industry — not lightweight decorative products. They're the same bases we use in our own professional letter fleet, which gets loaded, transported, set up and taken down repeatedly across the year. For travelling fairs and seasonal operators who need reliable replacement parts quickly, we offer next-day UK delivery on certain components.

What's the difference between E10 and E14 bases?

E10 and E14 refer to the diameter of the Edison screw fitting — 10mm and 14mm respectively. E14 is the larger of the two and is used in bigger letters (typically 80cm tall or more) where a 60mm cabochon cap is fitted. E10 is used in smaller letters with 40mm caps.

How many bases do I need for a light-up letter?

It depends on the letter size and bulb spacing. A typical 4ft letter can use approximately 6 - 14 light points. We recommend measuring your letter's perimeter and spacing bulbs every 4–6cm for a full, even glow.

Can I use this base with a 240V bulb?

Yes. This base is compatible with both 24V and 240V E14 bulbs. If you're running a 240V setup, ensure your wiring and power supply are rated accordingly.

Do you sell the bulb and cap separately?

Yes — we sell E14 LED bulbs, coloured cabochon caps, and a Full Light Set (base + bulb + cap) as a complete assembly. See our components collection for all options.

Can I use E14 cabochon bases as amusement ride spare parts?

Yes. E14 cabochon bases are standard components across a huge range of fairground and amusement park rides. They are used on ride canopies, ticket booth fascias, carousel borders, waltzer cars, ghost trains, big wheels, dodgem arenas, and fun house entrances — anywhere that classic fairground bulb lighting is fitted. If you're replacing worn, cracked or missing bases on a ride, our E14 clear bases are direct replacements for the standard 60mm fitting used across most traditional fairground equipment. We stock year-round and can fulfil trade quantities — contact us if you need a bulk order.

Do you sell replacement parts for fairground rides and amusement equipment in bulk?

Yes. While our website is set up for individual and small-quantity orders, we regularly supply trade customers — including event hire companies, sign makers, amusement park operators and ride maintenance engineers — with larger quantities of components. If you need 50, 100 or 500+ bases, contact us directly for a trade price. We can also advise on compatible bulbs, caps and wiring components for your specific installation.

Do you ship E14 bases outside the UK?

Yes — we ship to Europe and internationally. UK orders qualify for next-day delivery. For international shipping rates and timescales, add your items to the cart and use the shipping calculator at checkout, or contact us directly for large trade orders.
